BARBARA DOLAN GROUP The Barbara Dolan Group are currently in Night Train Studios working on an upcoming CD release.  The Barbara Dolan Group features the gorgeous jazz voice of Barbara Dolan, Ric Maure on piano, John Clark on sax and flute, Matthew Taylor on Drums and John Wiesner on Bass.  Checkout a rough mix of "Can't Help Lovin' That Man of Mine"

Congrats to Justin, Steven, Billy, Phil & Trevor of Wasteland Within on their great performance at Danny's Juice Battle of the Bands in May '07.  The guys were in Night Train Studios recently recording some of their brand of heavy metal for an upcoming CD.

Gloucester Songwriter Patrick McKenna (vocals, guitar, bass) and Kyle Sewyck (drums) were in Night Train Studios last Spring recording his 8 original song debut CD "Belt of Bourbon".  Patrick's voice is reminiscent of Jeff Buckley and Jerry Garcia.

Scott Dockendorff and his orchestra were back at Night Train recording his awesome third album "Swingin'", this time with veterans Steve Tacopina on drums, Dick Rosenberg on sax, Ron Hertz on piano and Mike Ginsberg on electric and upright bass.

Congrats! to Marmalading winners of Danny's Juice Battle of the Bands in Acton, MA

 

"Not Your Average Jazz Quartet" is what they call themselves and they're not kidding - that's clarinet, piano, drums, flute and bass.  Marmalading won studio time here at Night Train Studios by winning 2nd place at Danny's Juice II battle of the bands in Acton, MA. 

They finished recording their debut, 10 song album of originals on Night Train Records.  Check out the first cut "Sceptagon"

Ken Shulman

As a radio reporter, Ken Shulman is a contributor to NPR and WBUR's "Only a Game", to name a few.  Ken was in the studio recently editing audio for his latest project, a DVD documentary about the history and lives of tragically amputated victims in Sierra Leone called "Facing History".  Here is a piece he did for Living on Earth about a proposed bridge from Sicily to mainland Italy -"Bridging the Straits of Messina"

 

Ken Shulman has been at Night Train recently reading/recording "The Zack Files" a series of childrens' books for audio books.

Jeff Wolfsberg - The Drug Guy

Internationally known prevention specialist, Jeff Wolfsberg just finished in Night Train Studios recording his 2 CD audio book called "Mom Did You Ever Do Drugs?" to help parents with prevention strategies for the reduction of underage drinking and drug use.  You can buy his CDs on CDBaby.com   Jeff also records his podcasts here at Night Train Studios.  You can check them out for free on his website.

Steve & Victoria have finished recording their songs "Numbers" and "Colors".  Both are songs for children and feature Victoria's amazing flamenco guitar work and Steve's strong songwriting abilities.

Guitarist/Songwriter/Singer Phylo Ray has been recording in the studio at Night Train working on a 10 song album. 

Have At It

 Haverhill based alternative rock 5 piece band Have At It were just in at Night Train Studios recording a song for a new animated cartoon "Gumper".  Check out a rough mix of their song "Witness".

Leslie Hitelman

Leslie was recently at Night Train recording classical piano pieces  for her website.  Leslie's extraordinary talent is evident the moment you hear her begin playing.  Here is a snippet of her playing Bach's Allemande.  She recently played to a sold out performance at the Parrish Center for the Arts in Westford.  She will be performing Sun., July 30 at the Frederick Historic Piano Collection in Ashburnham, MA.

Lisa Locke

Lisa Locke mastered her debut album "In It For The Drama" here at Night Train Studios.  Released on East of Siberia Records, you can pick up your copy of this 10 song album through her website or at CDBaby.  Lisa performs  often on Tuesdays starting at 8pm at Open Mic Night at the Burren in Davis Sq., Somerville.
